It is speculated that Irfan Pathan is all set to make a comeback with Sri Lankan Premier League 2020. He was associated with a sport for almost two decades before he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Although, if speculations are to be believed, Pathan now is considering playing in LPL 2020.
The tournament which will go on floor next month will host a total of 23 matches across different stadiums.
The five teams that will be competing against each other are Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Dambulla along with Jaffna.
Martin Guptill from New Zealand is also contemplating on being a part of the tournament.
In a statement an official at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) told, “There are about 143 overseas players in the list who are very keen to play in this tournament and now it is up to the respective franchises to select these cricketers.”
“In addition, we have a total 80 national players who are currently contracted with SLC and they will also be strong contenders to make it to the final squad,” they further added.
